Christopher Payne is America's new
breakthrough collectible artist. Coming from a modest background, Payne
creates artwork based on the simple joys of life by expressing the message
of love in his imagery. "I draw my inspiration for my artwork from
the fascination I got from watching classic films like "The
Little Rascals", "Laurel and Hardy",
"It's a wonderful life" in that I enjoy the
gentle messages of the human spirit portrayed in those simpler times.
Being a huge fan of Norman Rockwell, I always appreciated
how he was able to communicate his whimsical messages with a handful of
cleverly placed characters. In my paintings I try to unravel the mysteries
of love in the form of a vintage advertisement. Instead of promoting a
product, I'm promoting the expressions of love in a big way, sometimes
romantic, sometimes comical, but always relevant to the human soul"-
Joel Payne.
